OpenAI seeks $40B for AI projects, twice October’s plan.

The American company OpenAI is negotiating to raise up to 40 billion dollars for the development of artificial intelligence, which is twice as much as previously planned. SoftBank is considering investing between 15 and 25 billion dollars in OpenAI. Significant investments are at stake due to China’s Dip Sika, which has introduced a cheaper alternative to American models with similar or better performance. Training the Chinese model cost only 5.6 million dollars, which is significantly less compared to investments by American companies.
