Serious Traffic Accident in Požega: Truck Crashes into Bakery, Five Injured

Early Sunday morning in Požega, a serious traffic accident occurred when a truck, after a failure to yield, collided with a Renault Twingo, then broke through a storefront and crashed into a bakery. Five people were injured and transported to Požega hospital. Fortunately, no one was inside the bakery at the time of the accident. The Twingo was almost completely destroyed. Police confirmed the car driver was intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 1.71‰ and that no occupants in the Twingo were wearing seat belts. Traffic in the area was disrupted due to the investigation.
