Indictment Against Alija Balijagić for Murder and Illegal Weapon Possession

The Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje has filed an indictment against Alija Balijagić for murder and illegal possession and carrying of weapons. Balijagić is accused of killing his brother and sister, Jovan and Milenka Madžgalj, on October 25 in Sokolac by shooting through the window of their family home with a hunting rifle. After the murder, he ransacked the house and fled. He was arrested on November 21 in Serbia, where weapons suspected to have been stolen in Serbia were found with him. During interrogation, he admitted to the crime, stating he had no prior intent to kill them but acted out of revenge due to their arrogant behavior towards him.
