The reconstruction works on roads at Stari Aerodrom in Podgorica, including Veljko Vlahović Boulevard, Miloš Obilić Street, and Pera Ćetković Boulevard, have exceeded their deadlines by about one and a half months. The contractor, Crnagoraput, faced delays due to a high number of rainy days and unforeseen additional works related to installations. Crnagoraput’s director, Svetislav Bajić, confirmed that the works will be completed by July 13, when a ceremonial opening is planned. The new deadline for Pera Ćetković Boulevard is the end of July, according to Indel Inženjering’s technical director Nikola Vujović. Despite the delays, the investor is satisfied with the quality and pace of the works.
Political Perspectives:
Left: Left-leaning sources might emphasize the delays as a failure of government oversight and the need for better accountability in public infrastructure projects. They may highlight the impact of delays on local residents and call for more transparent management and investment in public works.
Center: Centrist sources report the facts of the delays, providing balanced coverage of the reasons such as weather and unforeseen technical challenges. They focus on official statements from contractors and city officials, noting the new deadlines and the commitment to quality work.
Right: Right-leaning sources may focus on the efficiency and responsibility of the contractors, possibly defending the delays as unavoidable due to external factors like weather. They might emphasize the importance of completing infrastructure projects for economic development and support the continuation of the current management.
