A serious traffic accident occurred on the A4 highway near the Popovec interchange, resulting in the death of a 55-year-old motorcyclist. A 57-year-old driver of an Opel Vivaro lost control of the vehicle due to inappropriate speed, broke through a protective barrier, and entered the opposite lane, causing a chain collision involving several vehicles. After the accident, other cars collided with the remains of the barrier, and the motorcyclist, due to inappropriate speed, hit the debris and died. The motorcyclist’s 18-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at Dubrava Clinical Hospital. The police conducted an investigation, and the motorcyclist’s body was transported to the Zagreb Institute of Forensic Medicine.
