Šaranović Proposed Šćepanović to Continue as Acting Police Director, Government Unanimously Approved

Acting Director of the Police Administration Lazar Šćepanović was proposed by the Minister of Internal Affairs Danilo Šaranović to continue performing this function. The Government of Montenegro unanimously accepted this proposal. Šaranović emphasized that in the past six months, Šćepanović has demonstrated decisive, professional, and lawful leadership of the police despite a challenging security context. Under his leadership, the police have achieved significant results in the fight against organized crime, improved international cooperation, and conducted intensive vetting within the system. The need for a professional and responsible police force free from political influence, with zero tolerance for crime within the institution, was highlighted.
