Reconstruction of the Murder and Disappearance of Danka Ilić near Zaječar

At Banjskо Polje near Zaječar, the reconstruction of the events related to the disappearance and murder of two-year-old Danka Ilić, which occurred on March 26 last year, has begun. The reconstruction is conducted by the Zaječar Public Prosecutor’s Office, forensic experts from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the suspects Dejan Dragijević and Srđan Janković present, as well as the victim’s parents. The accused are charged with aggravated murder, while Radoslav Dragijević is charged with aiding the perpetrator and failing to report the crime. The prosecution has proposed life imprisonment for Dejan Dragijević and Srđan Janković. The child’s body has never been found; it is suspected that the suspects first hit the child with a vehicle and then disposed of the body at a landfill, later moving it. The reconstruction is part of an investigation supplement ordered by the Appellate Court in Niš.
