Lightning Strikes German on Cres While Flying a Kite

On the island of Cres, a 30-year-old German citizen, P.K., was seriously injured after being struck by lightning while flying a kite with two friends. The accident occurred around 7 PM during a storm. The lightning first struck a nearby car, causing a fire in its tires, then the kite, and finally the German man himself. One of the friends, a doctor, managed to resuscitate him before the arrival of emergency services. He was then airlifted by helicopter to the KBC Rijeka hospital for further medical treatment.
