Severe Storm Hits Istria Causing Damage and Injuries

Istria was hit by severe weather with strong west winds that uprooted trees, carried boats, and destroyed umbrellas. In Rovinj, 30 yachts were stranded, and three people were injured. The worst situation was in the Amarin and Porton Biondi camps where the wind knocked down numerous trees. Firefighters and emergency services were engaged in clearing the aftermath of the storm across Istria, including Poreč and Pula. Material damage is significant, and civil protection issued warnings and urged citizens to be cautious.
