Supercell Storm Hits Podgorica and the Region

A severe storm with supercell characteristics hit Podgorica and the wider area of Montenegro and Herzegovina. Some parts of the city experienced heavy rain and hail, while strong thunderstorms affected coastal areas such as Kotor, Bar, and Sutomore. In Herzegovina, Mostar and Trebinje were impacted. The weather conditions changed dramatically, with gradual calming expected by the evening.

Political Perspectives:

Left: Left-leaning outlets emphasize the impact of climate change on the increasing frequency and severity of extreme weather events like the supercell storm in Podgorica. They highlight the need for stronger environmental policies and disaster preparedness to protect vulnerable communities.

Center: Centrist sources focus on the factual reporting of the storm’s effects, including the areas affected, the severity of the weather, and the response efforts. They provide balanced coverage without attributing the event to political or environmental causes.

Right: Right-leaning media may downplay the connection to climate change and instead emphasize the immediate impact on local communities and infrastructure. They might focus on the resilience of the population and the effectiveness of emergency services in handling the storm.
