Child Sexual Abuse Sentences in Montenegro: Barely Above Legal Minimums, Victims Still Unprotected!

In Montenegro, sentences for child sexual abuse remain embarrassingly close to the legal minimum, despite alarming reports and analyses showing judges still too often go easy on offenders! Out of 51 verdicts, a whopping 86.2% resulted in prison sentences, but these are often minimal, while protective measures for child victims are inconsistently applied. Is it possible that the system meant to protect the most vulnerable still ignores their needs? Psychosocial support is sporadic, and victims’ parents often don’t know their rights! While institutions slowly draft necessary regulations, children continue to suffer and offenders roam free. If you’re fed up with judicial injustice and want the powerless to be heard, it’s time to speak up! Comment below and tell us — is Montenegro ready to truly protect its children, or will justice keep lagging behind?
