Zagreb in Chaos: Truck Overturns, 8-Kilometer Traffic Jam Forms!
Picture this: you’re driving on the Zagreb bypass, and suddenly – BAM! A truck with Slovenian plates flips over near the Jakuševec interchange, right at the turn for Buzin. Its cargo spills all over the road, and drivers are stuck in a traffic jam stretching all the way back to the Kosnica interchange, about 6 to 8 kilometers long depending on the source.
Luckily, the truck driver wasn’t hurt, but that doesn’t make the situation any less chaotic. Excavators are on site clearing the spilled cargo, but traffic is crawling at a snail’s pace. The service lane at the Jakuševec interchange heading towards Bregana is closed, and vehicles are being rerouted through detours – Jakuševec interchange, Buzin interchange, Većeslav Holjevac Avenue, ŽC 1046, Thomas Jefferson Street, and Veliko Polje interchange on the A11.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’s another accident on the A11 highway near the Jakuševec interchange on the service lane, causing even more delays. And just to add insult to injury, another crash happened on the Adriatic Highway DC8 near the Duboka interchange, so drivers can only pray for patience.
To top it all off, roadworks are ongoing on many sections of highways and state roads – pavement repairs and grass cutting. So if you thought your drive would be quick and stress-free, think again.
This is the perfect recipe for frustration, delays, and a whole lot of cursing behind the wheel. How long will this chaos last? Nobody knows, but one thing’s for sure – if you’re on the road today, better have some good music and patience to spare.
What about you? Already stuck in this jam or managed to sneak through? Share your stories, maybe you’ll make us laugh or comfort us in this traffic madness!
