Have you ever heard of a military exercise that brings together dozens of countries but barely gets any attention at home? Meet Platinum Wolf 25 – an international military exercise in Serbia where Montenegro’s Armed Forces showed they’re not just here to watch!
About 11 countries, including Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Serbia, joined forces in this grand military showcase. The goal? Exchange experiences, strengthen cooperation, and improve interoperability – basically, they trained to be the dream team for any battlefield or peacekeeping mission.
Montenegro’s Military Police unit from the Military Medical Center showed how it’s done – from base security, patrolling, blockades, terrain searches, to conducting combat operations in urban environments. The medics, as part of the Balkan Medical Task Force, practiced providing aid to the wounded on the battlefield and during natural disasters, all to prepare for the hospital’s next certification scheduled for October.
And let’s not forget the sports day! Soldiers from 11 countries competed in various disciplines, with Montenegro’s Military Police proudly taking first place in basketball. Kudos to them!
This exercise has been held since 2017, and Montenegro has participated for the fourth time. If you thought the military was just about war, think again – it’s a serious school for peace and cooperation. Got a comment or think this is too serious for you? Drop a joke in the comments and let’s see who’s the funniest!
