A basketball thriller like no other! Bayern managed to defend their German championship title by beating Ulm in a nail-biting final game on their home court. Bayern led after the first quarter and even had a 15-point advantage at one point, but Ulm refused to give up. By halftime, Ulm had nearly halved the deficit and played their best basketball in the third quarter. They even took the lead at the start of the final quarter, but Bayern quickly regained control and held the lead until the very end. In the dramatic final seconds, Ulm had a chance to win, but Jessup missed a three-pointer and committed his fifth foul, stopping their attack. Former Red Star player Shabazz Napier was shaky from the free-throw line, while Vladimir Lučić was fouled and managed to seal the game with clutch free throws. The top scorer for Bayern was Booker with 19 points, Napier added 15, Voigtmann 13, Obst 10, and Lučić 8. On the other side, Karima Jallow scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, Jessup had 11, and Palmer Jensen 10. This final was a true basketball feast, and Bayern showed why they are champions!
