Students Deserve Applause: Essays on Serbia and the World That Will Make You Think!

Students and Their Essays That Break the Boredom!

Imagine this – over 60 essays, zero plagiarism, and topics that aren’t just empty words but real social bombs! The Serbian People and State Foundation has been awarding young authors for the fourth year in a row who dared to critically think about Serbia and the world in light of geopolitical changes.

A Contest That Shook the Academic Scene

This year, the contest sparked record interest. Students competed on two topics: Serbia in the light of global geopolitical changes and Expo – the future has already begun. The expert jury, made up of brains from the academic and political spheres, had the tough job of picking the best from a multitude of quality essays.

Who Are the Winners?

First place went to Sanja Gvozdenović and Andrej Filipović, second place to Ognjen Bojanić and Milica Šljivančanin, and third place was shared by Dragana Delić and Ivana Macak. The jury members included Siniša Mali, Nemanja Starović, Miša Stojadinović, Ivan Mrkić, Dina Janevski Farčić, and Prof. Dr. Srđan Perišić.

Why Does This Matter?

Nemanja Starović emphasized that the jury had an extremely tough task but decided to award three prizes for each topic due to the high quality of the essays. Even more importantly, no plagiarism was detected – a rarity these days! This project shows that the foundation values hard work and critical thinking among youth, a bright spot in a sea of often superficial and unserious student papers.

What’s Next?

The ceremony ended with a group photo and an announcement that the contest will be held again next year, aiming to continue encouraging young people to think, write, and contribute to society. The Serbian People and State Foundation continues its mission to support youth, promote knowledge, and nurture patriotic and responsible thinking about Serbia’s future.

Conclusion

In a world where it often seems young people lose interest in serious topics, these students proved there is still hope! Their essays are not just school assignments but a call to think about Serbia’s and the world’s future. If you’re bored, check out these works – they might inspire you to write something yourself or at least wonder where the world is heading.

So, do you know someone who could write an award-worthy essay? Or maybe you have your own take on what Serbia should do in these turbulent times? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s the loudest voice in the room!
