Herceg Novi finally shows it cares about its citizens’ health! The municipality donated a modern floor X-ray machine to Meljine Hospital, worth nearly 92,000 euros. Yes, you read that right – 92,000 euros for a machine that was previously in such bad shape it couldn’t be repaired! The municipality president, Stevan Katić, proudly said this is a win for all citizens and tourists visiting the city. But wait, there’s more – the municipality recently provided 23 air conditioners to the same hospital. Sounds like things are finally changing, right?
Meljine Hospital, a key part of the healthcare system in the Bay of Kotor region, now has the support of the Ministry of Health and local government. The director of KBC Kotor, Davor Kumburović, thanked for the support and reminded that since March this year, the hospital became part of the public health system, enabling further development. Plans include new specializations, investments in a new scanner, and building a new hospital.
But let’s be real – how long was the X-ray machine broken? How many patients suffered because of it? And why did it take so long to fix? The municipality and Ministry of Health are now boasting, but citizens waited a long time for this help. Still, better late than never, right? Got thoughts? Drop them below – maybe together we’ll spark even bigger changes!
