Belgrade Music Week: The Festival That Breaks Rules and Sparks City Chaos

Imagine this: the Belgrade Music Week festival, scheduled from June 27 to 30 at the Ušće area, has thrown the entire schedule into chaos! Organizers Sky Music Entertainment decided to move the program from Saturday, June 28, to Monday, June 30, due to pressure from worried parents and announced road blockades. Yes, you read that right – parents and traffic chaos managed to disrupt a three-day music spectacle!

But wait, there’s more! The festival kicked off on June 27, with the audience enjoying performances by Adnan Nikšćaronić Sajfer, Elena Kitić, Inas, rap duo Rimski Korone, and Teodora Džehverović. However, due to the schedule change, the entire lineup planned for June 28, including artists like Ema, Vojaž, Nući, Desingerica, and Crni Cerak Lacku, was postponed to June 30.

This change sparked a wave of reactions – from excitement to frustration. How is it possible that a festival featuring popular urban music and well-known artists falls victim to traffic blockades and parental complaints? Is this a sign that Belgrade isn’t ready for such events, or did the organizers drop the ball?

As the city prepares for the musical spectacle, the question remains: how many more such changes and chaos will follow festivals in the future? Will the audience and artists have to get used to these turbulences, or will someone finally put an end to this madness?

If you’ve already attended any of the performances or have your own take on this festival chaos, feel free to drop a comment below. Maybe your story will shed light on what’s really going on behind the scenes of Belgrade Music Week!
