Laslo Đere Falls Again: Losing Streak on Grass Continues!

Laslo Đere, the Serbian tennis player, keeps disappointing on grass courts this summer. After losing in the first round of the ATP tournament in Halle to Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime with scores 6-3, 6-7, 6-8, 6-1, Đere also failed to advance at the ATP tournament in Mallorca, where he was stopped in the round of 16 by another Canadian, Gabriel Diallo, with a score of 6-3, 3-6, 6-3.

In Halle, the match lasted two hours and six minutes, and Auger-Aliassime, ranked 27th in the world, showed why he is better than Đere, who was ranked 65th on the ATP list. Although Đere won the tiebreak in the second set, the Canadian was relentless in the third set with two breaks, securing his place in the next round. Auger-Aliassime will play in the second round against the winner of the match between Karen Khachanov and Zizou Bergs.

Just a few days later, at the ATP tournament in Mallorca, Đere lost again to a Canadian, this time Gabriel Diallo, ranked 41st in the world, in a match that lasted one hour and 48 minutes. The score was 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 in favor of Diallo. This loss prevented Đere from reaching the quarterfinals of the grass tournament in Spain.

Both tournaments are played on grass, with the prize fund in Halle around 2 million euros, and Mallorca’s prize fund also significant. It’s clear that Đere is struggling to adapt to grass courts, which is worrying for his career during this part of the season.

Will Đere manage to turn this negative streak around or will he keep falling on grass? Fans are waiting, and we’ll be watching every step. Got any ideas on how Đere can break out of this slump? Drop a comment — maybe your tip is just what he needs to get back on track!
