Sferopulos Apologizes, Red Star Ends Season with Two Failures!

Shock and disbelief at Red Star! After 14 years, the Red-Whites failed to reach the Serbian Super League final, and coach Janis Sferopulos is openly disappointed. After losing to Spartak in the semifinals, Sferopulos publicly apologized to the fans and admitted the season ended with two failures – no titles in the ABA League and Serbian Super League.

“Congratulations to Spartak on a well-deserved victory, they played better in both games. Unfortunately, we were not at the required level in the last two months, we had injury problems, but that’s no excuse. I apologize to the fans and promise we will do everything to make next season better,” Sferopulos said at the press conference.

Red Star had high ambitions this season but faced reality – they failed to win either of the two main trophies. Sferopulos emphasized that changes are needed in the team and that the entire previous period will be analyzed to draw conclusions.

“We must be the real Red Star, build a better team, and be competitive in the ABA League and Serbian Super League. We cannot allow the season to end like this,” the coach said.

Fans are shocked, and the atmosphere in the club is tense. Will Red Star manage to recover and return to the path of former glory? One thing is certain – this season will be remembered as the one where Red Star fell from the height of its expectations.

If you have an opinion on this debacle or think Sferopulos blames injuries too much, drop a comment below and share your thoughts! Maybe it’s time for a revolution in the club or just patience? Who knows, but one thing is clear – Red Star must come back stronger!
