Miro Bulj and HDZ in Sinj: Secret Deal or Political Farce?

Sinj Drama: Miro Bulj in Trouble, HDZ and Dr. Jadrijević Form Majority!

Sinj, the city of the Alka knights and political intrigues, is once again in the spotlight. After MOST candidate Željko Cvitković Đone failed to secure the necessary votes in the city council, Mayor Miro Bulj’s claims that he has the majority have been confirmed. But is it really so?

According to unofficial information, HDZ with its 7 councilors and the independent list of Dr. Stipislav Jadrijević with 3 councilors have allegedly agreed to form a majority in the city council. Neither side has confirmed this, but insiders from both options say a program cooperation has been agreed upon, including rotation of the council president position.

For Miro Bulj, this means governing the city will be much more complicated than in his first term when the city council mostly accepted his proposals. Now he will have to cohabit with political options that were fierce opposition in the previous term.

Will Sinj finally get stable governance or are new elections looming? For now, elections are not expected soon, but the political scene in Sinj is far from calm.

If you think local politics is boring, think again! Sinj shows how real political drama is made with intrigues, secret deals, and uncertainty. What do you think about this “secret” alliance? A rescue for the city or just another farce? Drop a comment and let the people’s voice be heard!
