Platinum Wolf 25: Montenegrin Soldiers Flex Muscles in Serbia

Did you know that one of the biggest military exercises in the region is currently happening in Serbia? Yes, you read that right! Members of the Military Police platoon from the Military Medical Center of the Montenegrin Army (VCG) are participating in the international exercise “Platinum Wolf 25,” which brings together armed forces from 11 countries.

Who’s Involved?

This military showcase includes soldiers from Montenegro, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Romania, North Macedonia, the United States, the United Kingdom, and, of course, Serbia as the host nation.

What’s Going On?

The exercise is organized by the Serbian Armed Forces with support from the European Command of the U.S. Armed Forces. The goal is to exchange experiences, improve interoperability, and strengthen cooperation among allied and partner countries.

During the exercise, soldiers practiced tactics and procedures used in peacekeeping operations. Activities included base and convoy security, patrolling, blockades, terrain searches, and even combat operations in urban environments.

Medical Heroes in Action

Medical personnel from VCG, as part of the multinational Balkan Medical Task Force (BMTF), trained in providing aid to the wounded on the battlefield and during natural disasters. This aims to enhance interoperability and achieve operational capabilities necessary for the next hospital certification planned for October this year.

Sportsmanship and Victory

It’s not all serious business! A sports day was held during the exercise where soldiers from 11 countries competed in various sports disciplines. The Montenegrin Military Police platoon proudly took first place in basketball!

Tradition and Experience

The international exercise “Platinum Wolf” has been held since 2017, and VCG representatives are participating for the fourth time. This is not just a military exercise but a platform for strengthening regional security and cooperation.

Why Does This Matter?

In a world where tensions often run high, exercises like this are key to peace and stability. They show that Balkan countries don’t just compete in sports or politics but are ready to respond together to security challenges.

Is This Just a Military Parade or Something More?

While some might think these exercises are just formalities, the reality is that real skills are learned here — how to save lives, work together, and be ready for the toughest situations.

Conclusion

“Platinum Wolf 25” is not just another military exercise. It’s proof that Montenegro and its allies take security and readiness seriously. And if you thought soldiers just march and shoot, think again — they’re athletes, heroes, and true team players.
