Today, the organizer of a pilgrimage trip from Belgrade, known as V. P., was detained outside the Gračanica Monastery. He led a group of pilgrims dressed in t-shirts bearing the colors of the Serbian flag and the slogan “United Serbia.” The Kosovo police called him for identification and then detained him, while members of KFOR and the Kosovo Police Inspectorate observed the situation. The commander of the Gračanica police station, Bratislav Trajković, refused to comment on the reasons for the detention, directing journalists to the media office. This incident comes amid ongoing tensions in Kosovo and Metohija, where every move of the Serbs in the area is closely monitored and often provokes reactions. The pilgrims wore t-shirts with clear political messages, which further heated the atmosphere. Such situations highlight the complex relations between Serbs and Kosovo institutions, as well as the constant presence of international forces like KFOR overseeing security. Until authorities provide more detailed information, questions remain about the exact cause of the detention and what consequences this event might have on the situation on the ground. One thing is clear: even religious gatherings are not spared from political tensions, and every step of Serbs in Kosovo is watched with great attention and often suspicion.
