Chaos in Belgrade Streets: Rector Đokić Supporting Terrorists?
Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić doesn’t hold back when talking about University Rector Vladan Đokić. According to her, Đokić knew what the blockade gathering was about and that violence was being planned, yet he still chose to speak at the event. Even worse, Brnabić accuses him of siding with terrorists and calling for a civil war in Serbia.
“How can we now accommodate this man? He aligned himself with terrorists! Who has the legitimacy to meet him halfway when he wanted a civil war?” Brnabić said sharply.
She added that Đokić once again showed his support for terrorists who are initiating bloodshed, especially on Vidovdan, a day symbolic of Serbian history and tradition. The streets of Belgrade became a battleground, and footage of fights in front of Kurir’s team only fueled tensions further.
On social media, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić posted a chessboard, symbolically showing he’s thinking two moves ahead of everyone else, while analysts warn that Serbia’s enemies are trying to turn one group of children against another—a dangerous game with the country’s future.
Experts say extremists are preparing serious chaos in downtown Belgrade, and many recall the failures of March 15, which are now repeating. The only salvation, they say, is unity and solidarity among the people to build a stable Serbia.
Meanwhile, citizens wonder what awaits them on Vidovdan and how to protect themselves from the increasing street violence. The situation is on edge, threats have lasted for months, and conflicts show no signs of stopping.
If you think this is just another political game, think again. This is a call for caution and reflection on where Serbia is headed. So, what do you think about a rector who, according to Brnabić, took the side of violence? Drop a comment—maybe your word can change the course of this drama!
