Rastko Simić and the Pro Boxing Spectacle in Tršić: Is This the New Era of Serbian Boxing?

A professional boxing night will take place on July 6th at the open stage in Tršić, a place that is not only a cultural gem but also a new arena for Serbian boxing. The main star of the evening is 21-year-old Rastko Simić, a native of Loznica and the European amateur boxing senior vice-champion, who will face the experienced Georgian Giorgi Umekašvili, who has 15 professional fights under his belt. This is not just a fight; it’s a chance for Serbian boxing to step up and prove itself on the professional scene.

But that’s not all! The night will be packed with spectacular fights, including Nazif Sejdi against Frenchman Abib Kpodonou, Jovan Nikolić against Georgian Giorgi Mchedlishvili, Almir Memić against Valeri Gojiašvili, as well as clashes between Serbian boxers Relja Stojković and Goran Sučević, and Filip Stanković and Aleksandar Šerifović. Five Serbian Olympic representatives are currently training in Kazakhstan, where they have top-notch conditions and spar with representatives from the USA, Canada, and France. This is a unique opportunity for development and gaining experience that will be visible in the ring on July 6th.

The event is organized by Balkan Boxing and will be complemented by a rich musical program featuring Željko Vasić, a famous Serbian pop singer and composer.
