Six villages in the Vladimirci municipality went up in flames due to power line wires touching each other in the strong wind. Firefighters fought like lions to extinguish fires at six different locations. The damage? Several hectares of unharvested wheat burned to ashes, about a meter of riverbank destroyed, one hay barn and a bale of hay lost, plus two connected machines gone for good. To make matters worse, the fire also hit the Loznica landfill, forcing firefighting teams from Šabac and Koceljeva to rush in for backup.
