Vučić Claims Blockade Protest Was a Debacle, People Brought from All Over Serbia, Three Times Fewer Than March 15

Vučić dropped a bombshell yesterday about the blockade protests in Belgrade. According to him, there were only 36 people on the streets, three times fewer than the protest on March 15. He accused the organizers of bringing people from all over Serbia to fill the event, but it was all for nothing because the number of participants was significantly lower. Vučić also slammed the protesters’ sneaky tricks, like taking up way more space on the streets to look like a bigger crowd. During the riots, police arrested 77 people and 48 officers were injured. The president stressed that citizens’ lives were at risk and that the government is ready to fight violence. This statement comes amid an increasingly tense political climate in Serbia, where protests and blockades have become common. Vučić promised to keep strengthening the state and private sector, while the opposition keeps trying to destabilize the situation. It’s clear the government doesn’t want to admit the protests’ power and uses numbers and accusations of manipulation. Was it really just 36 people, or is Vučić trying to downplay the protests? Drop your thoughts below and let’s see what you think about these claims!
