Blockade Arrests: State vs. Violence or Political Soap Opera?

A real drama is unfolding in Belgrade! Six people have been arrested on suspicion of planning a violent change to Serbia’s constitutional order. Yes, you read that right – they allegedly planned road blockades and attacks on state institutions! All this supposedly took place in the premises of the Electrical and Civil Engineering Faculties in Belgrade on June 20 and 21. Police and prosecutors claim these individuals wanted to violently overthrow the state order, and the ultimatum to hold elections was just an excuse to use violence.

The arrested come from various cities: Zaječar, Smederevo, Kragujevac, Belgrade, Sombor, and Niš. They have all been detained for 48 hours, and the investigation is ongoing. Šešelj immediately commented that it was high time for police intervention, while others say this is a terrorist organization.

This action comes amid protests and clashes on the streets of Belgrade, with the government and opposition blaming each other for the chaos. Some say this is the regime’s attempt to destroy itself from within through inflation and uprisings, while others see American influence and a desire to destabilize the country.

All in all, the situation is tense, and citizens are wondering – when will this violence end? Is this really a fight for justice or just another political soap opera? If you have thoughts, drop them in the comments, maybe together we can untangle this mess!
