Plastic Bollards in Podgorica: Traffic Culture Heroes or Just Another Urban Battle?

Plastic bollards have become a daily sight in Podgorica’s battle against illegal parking. The Traffic Secretariat claims these bollards have yielded results and represent an unpopular but necessary trend to improve the city’s traffic culture. Jelena Šćepanović from the Secretariat highlights that bollards have helped improve traffic flow, but drivers often remove them on their own initiative, which will be met with stricter penalties in the future. Traffic expert Igor Radojević confirms that bollards reduce illegal stopping and increase safety, though there are places where they cannot be installed due to technical reasons. The Secretariat also plans to digitize bus stops to provide citizens with better information about public transport. Despite numerous complaints, bollards seem effective in fighting traffic uncultured behavior. Will citizens finally learn to respect parking rules, or will bollards become just another urban battleground? Share your thoughts and join the conversation about this unpopular yet evidently necessary solution!
