Heatwave Hits Kikinda: Serbs Struck by Heart Attacks and Emergency Calls

Kikinda has turned into a nightmare for emergency services this summer! During the first heatwave, the number of emergency calls shot up like never before. Chronic patients, psychiatric patients, and even heart patients were all hit hard by the scorching heat that felt like it came straight from hell. Dr. Miloš Bajić, head of emergency services in Kikinda, revealed there were about twenty more emergency outings than usual, and the number of heart attacks increased. Asthmatics and people with high blood pressure also called for help en masse. Although Kikinda residents were mostly disciplined and followed advice to stay home between 10 AM and 6 PM, the heat caused chaos.

But wait, there’s more! Psychiatrically unstable people also sought help, and there were calls from public places. Overall, emergency services were working at full capacity, and doctors urged patience and regular medication intake.

Is this just the beginning? Will the next heatwaves bring even more chaos? Kikinda folks, hang in there and drink water! And you, dear readers, what do you think about these alarming numbers? Is our emergency service ready for such challenges? Drop a comment and let’s see who’s the toughest against the heat!
