Macut Praises Police as Hooligans Try to Disturb Peace in Belgrade

Belgrade, June 29 – Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut publicly thanked the Ministry of Internal Affairs and all police officers who played a key role in maintaining public order and peace after a group of hooligans tried to disrupt the safety of Belgrade citizens. This happened following a gathering at Slavija Square, where hooligans attempted to cause chaos on the streets. Macut emphasized that peace in Serbia is essential, especially after a period of instability caused by blockades in recent months.

“I would like to once again thank the Ministry of Internal Affairs, all employees, and security services who played an extremely important role in regulating peace on the streets during yesterday,” Macut said after visiting the Afro Fest in Belgrade.

The Prime Minister stated that the Serbian government guarantees absolute order and peace to all citizens, stressing that the police are a key factor in maintaining security and stability in the country. This statement comes at a time when blockades and unrest have been recorded in recent months, further shaking public order and peace.

It is clear that the authorities want to show they have control over the situation and will not allow hooligans to disrupt stability in the capital. However, the question remains how long this peace will last and whether the police will be able to prevent new incidents in the future.

If you have an opinion on how Serbia is handling these problems or were perhaps a witness to the events at Slavija, drop a comment below – let’s see who’s for peace and who’s for chaos!
