Vučić Praises Police While Students and Citizens Create Chaos on the Streets

Oh Serbia, where are you headed? While students block faculties and citizens create chaos on the streets of Belgrade, President Aleksandar Vučić can’t hide his pride in his police force. “The police shone the honor of our state last night!” he says, praising the “professionalism, composure, and patriotism” of the Ministry of Interior officers. But wait a minute, students attacked police officers at the intersections of Kralja Milana and Bulevar Kralja Aleksandra, and citizens support them! Is this a scene from a political thriller or reality in Serbia 2024? As protests spread and tensions rise, Vučić declares: “In the end, Serbia always wins.” But which Serbia? The one that celebrates police force or the one that demands change? According to Vučić, the police showed “professionalism and seriousness” in suppressing the “attackers.” But what do the students and citizens say? Is this really a fight for order or a crackdown on freedom? Either way, Belgrade is burning, and Vučić is boasting. Is this the end of democracy or the start of a new era? Take a look, comment, laugh, or get mad — but don’t stay silent!
