Matvijenko clearly stated: “We did not break ties with Europe; Europe made this decision out of anger fueled by Russophobia.” Apparently, Europe is panicking and angry, so it decided to distance itself from its neighbor. But don’t worry, according to her, relations will eventually be restored – just not initiated by Russia.
Russia Thrives While Europe Struggles
But that’s not all! Matvijenko went further and accused Europe of harming itself with its hostile stance towards Russia. She says the living standards of Europeans have significantly dropped, while the Russian economy is successfully growing. “Our growth rates in recent years have been higher than the global average. We have low unemployment and have not abandoned social obligations,” proudly emphasized the Federation Council Chairwoman.
