Did you know that in Albania you can enjoy the beach with free sunbeds and buy food, drinks, and souvenirs for just 10 euros? Serbian travel blogger Jana discovered that Saranda, a coastal town in southern Albania, is a true tourist sensation that has captured many hearts. In her viral video, Jana showed what you can buy in Saranda for 10 euros – gyros for 2.50 euros, an ice cream scoop for 1 euro, coffee by the sea for 1.20 euros, a bottle of water for 0.50 euros, a can of soda for 0.90 euros, chocolate for 1.10 euros, a magnet for 2 euros, and beer for 1.30 euros. Although the total slightly exceeds 10 euros, Jana concluded that the offer is surprisingly good, especially since the sunbeds on the beach were completely free.
But that’s not all! According to data from the Albanian Institute of Statistics (INSTAT), the number of foreign tourists in Albania increased by 14.7% in the first five months of this year compared to the same period last year. The number of overnight stays in hotels and other accommodation facilities rose by 21.3%. Tourism in Albania is developing year-round, not just seasonally, and the summer season from June to October this year is expected to be the most successful ever, with record numbers of domestic and foreign visitors and revenues.
Unlike expensive destinations in the region, Albania offers affordable prices and free amenities that attract tourists from Serbia and beyond. While many complain about high prices for sunbeds and parking elsewhere, the situation in Albania is completely different. This is a paradise for those who want to enjoy the sea without spending a fortune.
If you’ve ever wondered where to vacation, maybe it’s time to seriously consider Albania. What do you think about these prices and offers? Would you dare to try a holiday for just 10 euros a day?
