While the world drowns in chaos and meaningless news, the eleventh annual youth basketball camp in Kolašin is a true oasis of hope and sport! From June 20 to 30, under the watchful eyes of legendary Montenegrin basketball players Vlado Šćepanović and Sava Đikanović, about 250 boys and girls aged 8 to 16 from Montenegro and the region gathered to train, learn, and grow. But this is not just another sports event — it’s a chance for life, development, team spirit, and confidence!
Enter Elektroprivreda Crne Gore (EPCG), which for years has shown it’s not just a power company but a socially responsible force investing in the future. This year, EPCG provided full camp accommodation for 19 boys from a home for children without parental care from Bijela. Yes, you read that right — 19 boys who usually have few chances got the opportunity to be part of this incredible experience.
Without EPCG’s support, this camp couldn’t operate at this scale. Organizers clearly stated that this project is the result of continuous cooperation and friendship with this company. Vlado Šćepanović emphasized at the closing ceremony that EPCG will continue investing in sport, education, and equal opportunities for all youth in Montenegro.
This is not just a sports camp. It’s a platform that changes lives, builds bridges between different backgrounds, and offers a chance for a better future. If you think sport is just a game, think again. Here, characters, friendships, and hope are built.
So, what do you think? Are there enough projects like this in the region? Is this the real formula for youth success? Or is it all just a waste of money? Share your thoughts, because here, it’s not just basketball being played — it’s life!
