Flights with Israel Resume: Montenegro’s Tourist Season Gets a Fresh Boost

Looks like Montenegro is finally waking up from its tourist winter slumber! After months of uncertainty due to geopolitical turmoil, flights between Tivat and Tel Aviv are set to resume tomorrow. Yes, you read that right — Israelis can once again land on Montenegrin soil, and that means only one thing: the tourist season is getting a fresh boost! Nimrod Rinot, Montenegro’s honorary consul in Israel, delivered this great news to the Ministry of Tourism, and representatives from Montenegro Airports confirmed it at today’s session of the Coordination Body for the Preparation and Monitoring of Tourist Seasons. After months of uncertainty, stabilization and continuation of tourist traffic from Israel is finally in sight, which is a huge plus for Montenegro’s economy and hospitality sector.

But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows! The Ministry of Tourism and traffic authorities have requested a detailed report on the condition of the Adriatic Highway within five days. Why? Because traffic jams and ongoing roadworks on this crucial route continue to cause chaos, and nobody wants tourists stuck in traffic while trying to enjoy their vacation. The police are preparing to beef up traffic control and tourist safety — 20 officers from the region will be deployed to assist local forces. Safety is a top priority, but the question remains whether this will be enough to avoid traffic collapses.

Another interesting point — the public discussion on the draft Tourism Law has been extended until the end of July. The Ministry wants to involve as many experts and members of the public as possible to create a better law. That’s great because Montenegro needs a law that actually helps the tourism industry, not just a dead letter on paper.

All in all, Montenegro is gearing up for another wild tourist season, with new flights, increased police presence, and hopes that traffic problems will finally be solved. Will everything go smoothly? We’ll see. But one thing’s for sure — if you were planning to enjoy the Adriatic this summer, now you have one more reason to pack your bags and head to Montenegro. And hey, if you have any funny or wild stories about Montenegrin flights or traffic, don’t be shy — share them! Maybe your tale will spice up this tourist season’s monotony.
