After Warsaw and Bucharest, ten elite grandmasters, including six of the world’s top ten players, will battle it out in a combined rapid and blitz format. Among them is the five-time world champion Magnus Carlsen, making his fourth appearance in Zagreb, and the 18-year-old reigning champion Dommaraju Gukesh. The tournament offers not only top-tier chess but also a hefty prize fund of $150,000, plus additional rapid tournaments for women and young players. Think chess is boring?
