Did you try crossing the Ada Bridge today? If yes, you probably got stuck in a massive traffic jam because a tram derailed and completely blocked traffic towards New Belgrade. Three lanes were packed, with only one lane barely moving, while police and a crane worked on the scene trying to fix this disaster.

But wait, there’s more! While Belgrade chokes in traffic chaos, students and citizens are out on the streets, setting up blockades and barricades all over the city. Overnight, police arrested 44 people and detained 6 more for disturbing public order. Some even tried to break through blockades with vehicles, sparking more incidents and clashes with police.

Students are not backing down – they demand snap parliamentary elections, release of detainees, and removal of the camp in Pionirski Park. Opposition parties are called to boycott the National Assembly, and citizens urged to completely stop work.

Police claim they acted professionally, but one police vehicle was damaged, and clashes continue. Belgrade is in a state of total blockade, with traffic slowly normalizing only in some areas.
