Will Montenegro’s Government Become Collaborators of the Chetnik Ideology?

Montenegro is at a crossroads where its government must make a clear choice: will they become collaborators of the Chetnik, fascist ideology or stand on the side of law and democracy? Miloš Đuričković, the international secretary of SDA and representative of the European Union, leaves no room for doubt. He sharply condemns statements by Andrija Mandić and others who, according to him, support the ideology of Draža Mihailović and Pavle Đurišić — the notorious Chetnik, fascist ideology. Đuričković demands the urgent adoption of a law banning fascist, Nazi, and extreme nationalist organizations and their symbols in Montenegro.

“All shades of fascism and attempts to present Chetnik ideology in a ‘light version’ must be put in the same basket and banned,” he says.

What’s especially dramatic is the call to all government constituents, especially minority parties, to decide if they want to be collaborators of this dangerous ideology. Đuričković clearly states that every individual has the obligation to give a clear and unequivocal answer to sympathizers of the Chetnik ideology in Montenegro.

This is not just a political game — it’s a fight for Montenegro’s future, for its democratic and multiethnic character. If the government fails to act and adopt the law, it means they support or at least tolerate fascist ideas that contradict laws and basic human rights.

So, dear readers, what do you think? Will Montenegro’s government stand on the side of the law or bow to pressure and become collaborators of the fascist ideology? Drop a comment, crack a joke, or just think about it — because this isn’t just news, it’s a wake-up call!
