Eurozone inflation rose to 2.5% in January, above 2.4% expectations.

Inflation in the eurozone rose to 2.5% in January, exceeding economists’ expectations of 2.4%. Core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, remained at 2.7% since September. Energy costs increased significantly by 1.8% compared to the previous year.
