Today, Sara Pavkov, known for her dedication to youth and education, visited students in Pionirski Park in Belgrade. She gifted them the book “Signs Along the Road” by Ivo Andrić, symbolically reminding everyone of the importance of knowledge and reading the signs in life. “We have youth and knowledge; Serbia can rely on them and need not worry about its future,” Pavkov wrote on Instagram.
But while the future of Serbia is celebrated in Pionirski Park, chaos reigns on the streets! Road blockades are causing public outrage, ambulances can’t reach patients, and border queues stretch up to 5 kilometers! Is this a way to defend rights or just chaos hurting everyone?
Students of mechatronics, landscape architecture, law, and security, along with a history PhD candidate, are fighting for their basic right to study, but blockades and protests cast a shadow over their efforts. While Pavkov says youth is our strength, citizens wonder how long they will endure blockades ruining their daily lives.
Meanwhile, political tensions rise, and threats and violence on the streets become daily occurrences. How can we protect the youth and Serbia’s future amid such chaos? Isn’t it time to stop the blockades and find more peaceful solutions?
