Milan Mladenović Award 2025: Regional Music Scene in the Spotlight

Alright music lovers and drama seekers, brace yourselves! The seventh edition of the Milan Mladenović Award has kicked off with a whopping 42 songs making it past the first round of voting, including some from Montenegro! Yes, our regional music scene is alive and kicking! A five-member jury made up of music experts from Croatia, Serbia, and North Macedonia is already hard at work picking the cream of the crop. Ivan Laić and Davor Lukas from Croatia, Milorad Miki Ristić and Bojana Vunturišević from Serbia, and Goran Trajkoski from North Macedonia – talk about a dream team.

The semifinal songs have been presented in alphabetical order, featuring names like Antoan de Milo, Bojana Arsovska, Nikola Lučić, and many more, promising a real shake-up. The jury will select 12 finalists by mid-July, who will be featured on a promotional CD compilation released annually by the Milan Mladenović Foundation to spotlight talents from the former Yugoslav region.

And don’t forget – the winner will be announced on September 21st, Milan’s birthday, with the award ceremony set to take place in Makarska this year. Will your favorite artist take home the prize?
