The Možura Scandal: Murder of a Journalist and Corruption Poisoning Society

The Možura scandal is not just another corruption story — it’s a bloody stain on the face of justice and society! Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister, Momo Koprivica, during an official visit to Malta, made it crystal clear: this scandal must be fully uncovered! And not just because of corruption, but also because of the murder of brave journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia, whose case shook the entire world. The European Parliament has made it clear that it is everyone’s duty to sanction every attack on the life and freedom of speech of journalists.

Koprivica emphasized that the Government of Montenegro will do everything in its power, respecting the autonomy of the judiciary, to uncover the truth and ensure justice. Cooperation with Malta, where the journalist was killed while investigating corruption, is key. During a meeting with Malta’s Chief Prosecutor, Victoria Buttigieg, it was agreed to intensify information exchange and effectively combat international corruption and organized crime.

Especially touching was Koprivica’s meeting with the murdered journalist’s son, Matthew Caruana Galizia, who expressed readiness to assist in data exchange. This case is not just a tragedy for one family but a blow to the entire society that must fight corruption and violence against media freedom.

Moreover, Malta and Montenegro are exchanging experiences in judicial reforms aimed at accelerating European integration and strengthening legal security. But while talks of reforms and cooperation continue, the question remains: how long will society tolerate such scandals, and will justice finally be served?

If you think this is just another political story, think again. The murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia and the Možura scandal are a warning to all of us — not to turn a blind eye to corruption and violence. So, what do you think? Will justice prevail, or will this end up as yet another untold story? Drop a comment, let the people’s voice be heard!
