Air India Tragedy: Suicide Plane Crash or Chilling Pilot Error?

A little over a month ago, the world was shaken by a tragedy – an Air India plane crashed just 39 seconds after takeoff, killing everyone on board. Now, the official investigation results are out, and what they reveal sheds a chilling new light on the case.

The fuel cutoff switches for the engines, crucial for flight, were flipped to the “off” position just three seconds after takeoff. This caused both engines to lose power and the plane to plummet. The black box recording reveals the pilots’ confusion – one asks the other why the fuel was cut off, while the other insists he didn’t do it. Experts say these switches can’t be accidentally pressed – they require a deliberate, conscious action.

Retired pilot Stevan Ignjatović, who has flown in war zones, can’t believe the official story. He says such an event is impossible without intent and suspects a suicide act by one of the pilots. Ignjatović points out that the fuel switches have protective covers and can’t be turned off without a purposeful move.

Ljuban Karan, a former intelligence officer, adds that passenger plane safety today is seriously threatened, not just by human error but by potential deliberate external actions – whether from air defense systems or fighter jets. He recalls the misuse of passenger planes during the Cold War and warns about how protected today’s planes really are.

This tragedy raises many questions: How could the fuel switches be turned off so quickly and without warning? Why wasn’t the landing gear retracted after takeoff? Was this a deliberate sabotage or a tragic mistake? And most importantly, how safe are our lives really when we board a plane?
