The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, declared victory for the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in the extraordinary local elections held in Zaječar and Kosjerić. Vučić emphasized that SNS achieved a convincing victory in Zaječar with about 48% of the votes, while in Kosjerić the victory was narrow but confirmed with a 51-vote difference. Vučić stated that the people love Serbia and chose stability and progress despite the pressures and attempts of blockade by the opposition.
