From Music Star to Dean: Aleksandra Perović’s Incredible Transformation

Aleksandra Perović, once a shining star of the 2000s music scene as a member of the band Moby Dick, is now the dean of the Faculty of Sports Management in Belgrade. Yes, you read that right! The same woman who rocked the charts with the hit “Opium” in 2000 has traded the stage for the lecture hall. After leaving Moby Dick in 2004, Aleksandra released a solo album, took part in the reality show Survivor in 2010, and gradually stepped away from the public eye. But her career didn’t stop at music – she dabbled in rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, ballet, modeling, and even taught courses. Alongside all this, she built an academic career – starting as an assistant, then docent, professor, and now dean. In 2015, she had a son with her long-time partner Boban Jablan and admits that life under the public spotlight no longer suits her. “I’m no longer interested in constantly appearing on shows,” she said. Her story proves that you can reinvent yourself and build a new identity far from the limelight, but with great success. Who would have thought a 2000s music star would become a serious academic figure? If you think the world of celebrities is all glam and parties, Aleksandra Perović is here to prove you wrong. So, what do you think about such transformations? Drop a comment if you know someone who made a similar leap!
