AMSS WARNING: Traffic Jams and Breakdowns Ahead, Drivers Act Like It’s Winter!

Drivers, brace yourselves for the summer traffic madness! AMSS has raised the alarm again about increased traffic on routes to Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Montenegro. The summer tourist season is in full swing, and traffic intensity remains high even on weekdays, though slightly less than on weekends. But that’s not all – today’s temperature is soaring to a scorching 38 degrees Celsius! Yes, you read that right, 38 degrees! This means your car is likely to overheat if you don’t check it properly. AMSS urges drivers to frequently check coolant levels, tire pressure, and if possible, avoid driving during the hottest parts of the day.

What about traffic jams? Good news at toll booths – no delays reported. But border crossings? Not so great. At the Preševo crossing, on the exit from Serbia, passenger vehicles are waiting up to 25 minutes, while freight trucks are patiently stuck for up to 6 hours! Kelebija, Batrovci, Sremska Rača, and Šid also have queues, but not too long. Other crossings are thankfully free of long waits.

AMSS also reminds drivers not to start trips when tired and to watch for signs of fatigue while driving. Summer driving is no joke, and vehicle breakdowns double due to heat and heavy traffic. So if you don’t want to be stranded on the road, better prepare well and don’t drive like you’re in a Formula 1 race.

And hey, if you thought this was just another boring warning, think again! This info is crucial because nobody likes standing in a line at +38 degrees, and even less so having their car break down in the middle of nowhere. So next time you hit the road, remember AMSS’s advice and maybe you’ll reach your destination drama-free. Got a crazy road story or saw something unforgettable? Drop it in the comments – maybe your tale will save someone’s day!
