Ana Brnabić on Blockades, Thompson, and Fascism in Croatia

Blockades Are Over, But Fascism in Croatia Is Thriving!

Ana Brnabić, the Speaker of the Serbian National Assembly, is not holding back when it comes to current political and social issues. While blockades in Belgrade are no longer happening, she warns about dangerous fascist tendencies re-emerging in Croatia, a member of the European Union.

Blockades Are Gone, But The Fight Continues

Brnabić clearly stated that “blockaders no longer exist” and that “decent, normal Serbia will continue to fight and win.” She recalled the case of Miloš Pavlović, a student who was physically removed from a dormitory but still managed to pass an exam with one of the most respected professors. This example, she says, symbolically shows that Serbia has won.

Fascist Concert in Zagreb and EU Silence

Brnabić’s greatest outrage is directed at the concert of Marko Perković Thompson in Zagreb, where half a million people celebrated Ustaše crimes and used the banned Ustaše salute “Za dom spremni” (For the Homeland – Ready). She emphasizes that the European Union remains silent on these events, despite the glorification of Nazi and Ustaše symbols and crimes.

Brnabić highlighted that Croatia, 80 years after World War II, is still a place where fascist crimes against Serbs, Jews, and Roma are relativized and justified. She particularly condemned the lack of reaction from European institutions to Ustaše salutes in the Croatian Parliament and at Thompson’s concert.

Behind the Scenes: Corruption and Investigations

The Speaker also commented on scandals related to the collapse of a canopy at the Novi Sad railway station, where top officials from the Serbian Railways Infrastructure are under investigation. While some are under house arrest, others remain in high positions and celebrate with the special prosecutor. Brnabić made it clear that investigations will continue and no one will be spared.

Fighting Fascism and Remembering Victims

During an official visit to Israel and the Yad Vashem memorial center, Brnabić conveyed the gratitude of Israeli officials to Serbia for opposing the relativization of fascist and Nazi crimes. She also recalled the incident when Croatian authorities did not allow Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to visit Jasenovac, which caused further tensions.

Conclusion: Serbia Will Not Stay Silent

Ana Brnabić is clear – Serbia will not allow the crimes of the past to be forgotten or relativized. While Ustaše slogans are raised again in Croatia and crimes are celebrated, Serbia will fight for truth and justice. The European Union and the international community, she says, must stop being silent and respond to these dangerous phenomena.

If you think this is just another political story, think again. Is it possible that such things still happen in the 21st century? Share your thoughts, maybe you have the answer to why history keeps repeating itself.
