Apple is at it again – hiding two key features that will change how we use iPhones and AirPods! Yes, you read that right. At this year’s WWDC, Apple decided not to reveal everything it has in store for iOS 26. Why? Because these features aren’t quite ready for prime time yet, according to Bloomberg. But let’s dive into what’s actually going on.
The first feature is a game-changer for AirPods users – live translation of your conversation partner’s speech directly into your earbuds! Forget staring at your screen while talking to someone in a foreign language. Apple uses its “live translation” system from the Apple Intelligence suite to provide real-time translation, perfect for travelers and people working in international environments.
The second feature tackles one of the most annoying problems with public WiFi networks that require manual login through so-called “captive portals” – like in hotels, cafes, and airports. iOS 26 will remember your login details on one device and automatically sync them across all your Apple devices via iCloud. Say goodbye to entering your credentials over and over on every device!
Although both features were ready for demonstration, Apple decided to hold them back for later updates, most likely in iOS 26.1 or 26.2, expected in October or December this year. Until then, enjoy the iOS 26 beta already available to developers, with a public beta coming in July.
Of course, Apple announced many other novelties at WWDC – a new liquid glass interface design, enhanced lock screens, deeper AI integration in Messages, graphical calls, and improvements in privacy and security. But these two features are the ones that will truly make your life easier.
So, Apple has surprised us again – hiding features that could be the real stars of iOS 26. Is this a smart business move or just another way to keep us in suspense? Either way, get ready for fall and winter because your iPhone and AirPods are about to get smarter than ever.
