The dean and five employees of the Medical Faculty in Novi Sad have been arrested on suspicion of money laundering and abuse of official position. According to the charges, these individuals illegally damaged the state budget by more than 17 million dinars, including issuing false invoices and tax fraud. The police and tax administration conducted the arrest operation under the order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office. The suspects have been detained for up to 48 hours and will be brought before the competent prosecutor’s office.
