The Office for Information Technologies and Electronic Administration has implemented a digital assistant based on artificial intelligence on the eUprava portal. The goal is to facilitate citizens’ access to information and the use of electronic administration services. The assistant currently provides basic information and directs users to services, and in the future will enable performing specific actions such as scheduling appointments and filling out forms. The system uses the language model from OpenAI, and there are plans to develop a universal solution independent of other language models for greater security and data control. The office has also signed a contract for the procurement of a supercomputer to train and host AI applications, in line with the “Leap to the Future Serbia 2027” program for modernization and digitalization.
